🚘 Tesla releases Full Self-Driving

Not everyone is a fan

Hey Waivly Crew! 🌊 Even though it has received some safety concerns, Tesla owners now have access to its Full Self-Driving program. It’s not long until The Witcher season 2 is coming to Netflix, a long with a spin-off and more.

Tesla opens Full Self-Driving Beta to more customers

Tesla has released a software update, that allows Tesla owners to request access to its Full Self-Driving Beta.

Finally here

After years of waiting, Tesla has now enabled access to the beta of its “Full Self-Driving” (FSD) program to Tesla owners. Originally Tesla's Full Self-Driving program was expected to release in a "feature complete" status towards the end of 2019, so it has been a long time coming.

For safe drivers only

Telsa drivers can request to join the Full Self-Driving via a request button on Tesla's dashboard. Once requested, Tesla will calculate driver's "safety score" using five criteria that estimates “the likelihood that your driving could result in a future collision,” according to Tesla’s website.

Plenty of safety concerns

Last week during an interview with The Wall Street Journal, NTSB Chief Jennifer Homendy made some negative comments about Full Self-Driving, saying that the company needs to tackle "basic safety issues" before it releases features like Autopilot and Full Self Driving to more Tesla owners. The NTSB chief also isn't a fan of Tesla's feature names, calling its Full Self-Driving label "misleading and irresponsible."

Resident Evil 4 VR launch date revealed

Capcom is releasing a VR version of Resident Evil 4 which will only be available on Facebook's Oculus Quest 2.

First glimpse

The VR game was first announced earlier this year, now we have only got a glimpse of its gameplay and trailer created by Facebook, Capcom, and a third-party game development studio, Armature.

What can we expect from the VR version of Resident Evil 4?

Resident Evil 4 VR will be adapting the game's original content with mostly a first-person point of view, but with a third-person point of view of cutscenes from the original game. The game is being re-engineered to take advantage of VR motion controls, which will allow players to interact with weapons, items, and puzzles using their hands. There are many new designs in Resident Evil 4 VR that will affect gameplay such as how players wield their weapons is much easier, as well as having updated game textures.

When will Resident Evil 4 VR be available?

Resident Evil 4 VR will launch on October 21st on the Oculus Quest 2, just in time for Halloween. Unfortunately, the VR version of Resident Evil 4 is not compatible with the original 2019 Oculus Quest headset and will be exclusively compatible with Facebook's latest Oculus Quest model. Facebook currently has no plans to bring Resident Evil 4 VR on Oculus' desktop platforms, as well as desktop PCs or consoles.

The Witcher is making a return

During Netflix's three-hour long Tudum Livestream last weekend, we got to see updates and reveals for over 70 series and 28 movies. Out of everything featured The Witcher is looking very promising, and it's far from over.

The wait is nearly over

In 2019 the first season of The Witcher debuted and instantly became a huge success, making a second season inevitable. Up until July, when a teaser was released, we didn't much about Season 2, and during Tudum Netflix debuted the first full trailer, hinting at what's to come for Geralt, Yennefer, and the rest of the cast.

Season 3 announced already?

The Witcher season 2 hasn't even premiered yet, and Netflix has already announced The Witcher will return for a third season. For those of us who can't wait any longer for more Witcher content, Netflix's Witcher anime film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf is available to watch on Netflix.

Spin-off for kids

Thanks to Netflix, you're now never too young to become a Witcher fan. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, The Witcher's showrunner, made an appearance in Tudum, "I'm so excited to tell you we'll be creating even more from The Witcher universe with Netflix. I can confirm we're making a second Witcher anime film as well as a fun-filled kids and family series," Hissrich said.
