Adidas brings in $23M from first NFT drop
The step into the future went well
Adidas saw a successful launch for their first ever NFT effort, with their first drop which was in collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club, Gmoney and Punks bringing the company in over $23 million in Ethereum.
$15.5 million of this revenue came from the “Early Access” phase of the drop, and the remaining $7.5 million was from the general open sale. Despite a hiccup causing Adidas to pause early transactions momentarily, the drop minted all 30,000 editions of the NFT.
