Singapore-based exchange platform Crypto.com has signed a sponsorship deal with the Australian Football League (AFL) worth $25 million (USD $18 million) over five years.
⠀
The deal introduces Crypto.com as the official crypto exchange of the AFL and the women’s AFLW league, as well as the league’s exclusive naming rights partner over the season’s games, according to a statement from Yesterday.
⠀
While Crypto.com signed multiple sponsorship deals with sports teams last year, the agreement will mark Crypto.com’s first time sponsoring an Australian sports team and the first deal signed with an elite women’s sports competition worldwide.
⠀
AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial Kylie Rogers shared how proud she is over the milestone. “The AFL is proud to be the first Australian sports league and elite women’s competition globally to work alongside an organization that shares our passion to progress the future of elite sport and technology.” ⠀
