TikTok is testing out a new shopping tab feature
The popular content creation platform TikTok has recently announced that they are testing out a new in-app shopping experience as part of its partnership with the e-commerce company, Shopify.
What is TikTok's new shopping tab feature?
The new feature is called TikTok Shopping, and it will have a selection of merchants from the U.S., Canada, and the UK to use the new shopping tab and product link to sell products from their Shopify stores. The new shopping tab will dedicate a section of a merchant's TikTok profile with a list of products that TikTok users can scroll and click through. The product link feature will offer the same integration features as the shopping tabs, which will allow merchants to link directly to a product through a TikTok post.
Who can gain access to the shopping tab feature?
At the moment, there is not a full-blown monetization option for creators, but the only way to gain access to the new shopping feature is that users need a TikTok Business account as well as a Shopify storefront. The new shopping tab feature is more of an expansion towards TikTok's advertisement partnership with Shopify that began in 2020. The expansion is a way for content creators to start making money on the social media platform.

The FCA, one of the world’s leading financial regulators, has said it can no longer supervise crypto exchange company Binance.
Pressure since June
In June, the FCA, and other regulators, warned Binance, claiming it was unauthorized to offer conventional financial services within the UK. Since then, Binance has continued to offer crypto trading in the UK.
Incomplete answers from Binance
Two months later, the UK regulator has said that Binance has failed to respond to some of its most basic queries by giving incomplete answers and even refusing to answer some questions, making it difficult to supervise the company.
Binance responded to the FCA, saying, "As noted by the FCA, Binance Markets has fully complied with all aspects of its requirements. We continue to engage with the FCA to resolve any outstanding issues.”
