Crypto exchange Binance is ending support for the Polygon network on its NFT marketplace.

Binance NFT will stop supporting Polygon NFTs on September 26 at 6:00 UTC. Afterward, users won't be able to buy or list Polygon NFTs on the platform, and all impacted listings will be cancelled, Binance wrote in a Friday blog post.

"Users should withdraw their NFTs via the Polygon Network from Binance NFT Marketplace by December 31, 2024 at 23:59 UTC," it stated.

Binance is also discontinuing its NFT staking program for The Sandbox, and users won't be able to stake LAND NFTs on Polygon after September 26.

"This decision was made after careful consideration and evaluation, and it is part of our ongoing efforts to streamline product offerings on Binance NFT Marketplace," Binance noted.

After removing Polygon, Binance NFT will support three blockchains, including BNB Chain, Ethereum, and Bitcoin.

The news arrived days after Binance CEO Changepeng Zhao denied rumours on X that executives had left the company or it was winding down any projects. But said in the same post that Binance has been handling a "smooth sunsetting of old products."
