Elon Musk may fire more Twitter employees
According to Bloomberg
Twitter may cut more of its workforce as early as Monday. According to Bloomberg, Elon Musk is considering firing more employees, this time targeting the company’s sales and partnerships teams.
On Friday, Musk reportedly asked Robin Wheeler, Twitter’s head of ad sales, and Maggie Suniewick, the company’s partnerships chief, to fire more employees. Both were terminated after refusing to do so.
This comes days after Musk offered Twitter employees an ultimatum: either stay on and work “long hours at high intensity” to "build a “breakthrough Twitter 2.0,” or leave with three months’ severance pay.
In response, “at least 1,200” employees resigned on Thursday, the New York Times reported, citing three people close to the company. Twitter had 7,500 employees at the end of October, which dropped to 3,700 after mass layoffs earlier this month.
