Epic Games Store lists first NFT game
Mythical Games’ Blankos Block Party
Epic Games, the developers behind Fortnite, will soon launch the first NFT-powered game on its store, Blankos Block Party.
The open beta version of Blankos Block Party launched in December 2020 on Mythical Games’ website. According to the Studio, the game has amassed more than one million total users to date.
Blankos Block Party lets users play and collaborate in a vibrant open world. It incorporates NFTs to represent in-game items like avatar designs and accessories, which can be bought and sold through the game’s marketplace.
However, not all in-game items in Blankos are NFTs. Players can also use the in-game currency “Moola,” which is gained just by playing the game, to buy accessories and items.
The game can be downloaded for free in the “early access” version until September 28th, when the first season of the full game will launch with new graphic and navigational upgrades on the Epic Games Store.
