📱 Facebook hit with second outage
It's been a rough week
Hey Waivly Crew! 🌊 Rockstar Games has finally confirmed Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, after weeks of leaks and rumours. Instagram and Facebook went down again on Friday, hopefully for the last time.
Facebook and Instagram went down again
Facebook has apologised again after users reported problems with its services on Friday.
Down again already?
It's not been a good week for social media, as on Friday, Facebook had its second outage within the same week. The outage affected all of Facebook's companies, including Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Users began reporting issues around 8 PM BST, according to downdetetcor.com, a site that provides real-time information about the status of websites and services.
Could be worse
Unlike last Monday's outage, which lasted over six hours, most services were back up and running in every region two hours after Facebook acknowledged it. Facebook's reason for Monday's outage was configuration changes to the routers in its data centres, and according to TechCrunch, Friday’s outage was due to the same thing.
"We're so sorry if you weren't able to access our products during the last couple of hours," the company said it a statement on Friday evening. "We know how much you depend on us to communicate with one another. We fixed the issue - thanks again for your patience this week."
NASA delays Boeing Starliner test flight
NASA has recently announced that it will be pushing back its Boeing Starliner spacecraft test flight to next year.
Why the delay of the Boeing Starliner test flight?
The delay of the agency's test flight of its Boeing Starliner because they are continuing their work on the issues dealing with the spacecraft's oxidizer isolation valve. NASA's manager of its Commercial Crew Program, Steve Stitch in a recent blog post has explained that the issue with the valve is complex and that it will "affect many parts of the spacecraft that is not easy to access which requires a methodic approach and sound engineering to effectively examine the issue." The test flight is expected to have the opportunity to launch in the first half of 2022 depending on the spacecraft's hardware readiness as well as the rocket manifest and space station's availability.
What is the Boeing Starliner?
NASA has two spacecraft for its Commercial Crew Program that are designed to take passengers to and from the International Space Station (ISS) and one of the spacecraft is the Boeing Starliner while the other is SpaceX's Crew Dragon. Prior to taking passengers to the ISS, NASA required both Boeing and SpaceX to launch a test flight without any crew members followed by one with a crew. Boeing Starliner has already conducted a flight without a crew, but just hours prior to its launch Boeing found issues with the spacecraft's propulsion valves which resulted in NASA scrubbing the launch. This then resulted in the reassignment of the two astronauts that were supposed to fly on the Boeing Starliner flight to now fly on an upcoming SpaceX flight.

Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto Trilogy is launching later this year
After multiple leaks, Rockstar Games has officially announced the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.
Missing a fan favourite
The trilogy will include GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas, all with across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements, while still maintaining "the classic look and feel" of the original games, according to Rockstar. If you were hoping for a remastered GTA IV, it is unfortunately not included in the collection.
How much will it cost?
We're not sure exactly when the GTA Trilogy will release or how much it will cost, but it will likely be sometime later this year and cost around £40-£60. The updated games will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, along with iOS and Android in the first half of 2022.
Not a surprise
A day before the game got officially announced, the logos for each game, along with the trophy/achievement art, were leaked in the GTA forums, so the reveal wasn't a surprise to most GTA fans. A while back, someone else also was able to find references to the remastered games in the code of Rockstar's game launch program.
