Crypto Exchange FTX is partnering with AZA Finance to grow the Web3 economy on the African continent.
⠀
The partnership will explore five key areas for Web3 development in Africa, including offering support for users to deposit and pay out in African currencies on FTX.com with mobile money and local bank account integrations.
⠀
It will also provide educational resources and network opportunities to African users to participate and learn about the Web3 economy. Notably, the fifth area of the collaboration involves onboarding African NFTs and artists to the FTX NFT marketplace.
⠀
“We are thrilled to be working with FTX and to help them grow across the African continent. Sam’s leadership, and his commitment to ethical expansion within Web3, is exceptional. As we built Africa’s largest platform for trading African currencies, one thing has been clear – that this continent is the future of global, digital economies,” Elizabeth Rossiello, CEO and founder of AZA Finance said.
⠀
The agreement was announced a day after FTX Europe revealed it received the first crypto exchange license to operate, open up a headquarters, and offer crypto derivatives products in Dubai.
