Getty Images to drop photography NFTs with Candy Digital
Centred on influential musicians from the ‘70s
Photography giant Getty Images has teamed up with Candy Digital to drop its first vintage photography NFT collection.
The collection, titled “The ’70s Music & Culture Collection,” will feature photos centred on some of the most influential musicians of the ‘70s, including Elvis, David Bowie, Stevie Nicks, The Rolling Stones, and Jimi Hendrix.
As part of the launch, Getty Images will also give photography and music fans the opportunity to mint a free introductory NFT between March 7th and March 15th.
“The launch of the ’70s Music & Culture Collection draws on Getty Images’ timeless and meticulously preserved archives allowing individuals to own unique moments in music history that engage their passion,” said Peter Orlowsky, Senior Vice President, Strategic Development, Getty Images.
The collection will launch via an open-edition mint scheduled on March 21st, with prices ranging from $25 to $200. It will be available to users in the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Portugal, Spain, and the UK.
