Hayden Christensen will reportedly star in Disney+ show 'Ahsoka'

Return to the dark side

Hayden Christensen, the actor who played Anakin Skywalker before he turned to the Dark Side and became Darth Vader, might be coming back to play his iconic role in Ahsoka.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka, the upcoming Disney+ series, which will star Rosario Dawson as Jedi Knight survivor Ahsoka Tano, who made her live-action debut in the second season of The Mandalorian.

The confusing part about Christensen’s casting in Ahsoka is that the show is set around the same time as The Mandalorian, five years after Return of the Jedi when Darth Vader dies, so he may be returning as a Force Ghost.

Dave Filoni, who has been involved in previous Star Wars projects such as The Mandalorian and animated series The Clone Wars, will write the story while also executive producing with Jon Favreau. Production is due to begin in early 2022, and if you can’t wait, Christensen will also be joining Ewan McGregor in the limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi debuting early next year.
