Houston Texans accepts Bitcoin for single game suites
On Tuesday, NFL team Houston Texans entered into an exclusive partnership with crypto wallet platform BitWallet.
Through the partnership, fans of the NFL team will be able to purchase single game suites with bitcoin, using BitWallet as the intermediary (which converts the cryptocurrency to U.S. dollars).
According to an announcement, local digital marketing agency EWR Digital has already purchased a single-game suite with bitcoin, making the Texans the first team in the NFL to sell a suite through digital currency.
BitWallet is supported in over 160 countries and currently enables users to trade or hold bitcoin, with plans to roll out support for Ether, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, Tether, and Bitcoin Cash later this year.
"We are proud to partner with BitWallet to offer an exciting option for our fans who are looking to enjoy Texans gameday in one of our suites," Houston Texans President Greg Grissom said. "BitWallet is a perfect collaborator as we continue our efforts to move our organization forward in new and innovative ways."
"Digital currency has become a primary means of payment and by partnering with BitWallet, the Texans are leading the way in the NFL," BitWallet CEO John T. Perrone said. "I am honored that BitWallet is the first to offer Texans fans this service."
Earlier this year, the Tennessee Titans became the first NFL team to accept bitcoin for large and recurring purchases through a third-party conversion service.

Yesterday, Meta announced that it’s launching new Reels features for Instagram and Facebook, including an "Add Yours" sticker that became popular in Stories.
Add Yours Sticker
The feature allows users to respond to other users’ Reels with their own related to the topic. For example, you can share a Reel with an Add Yours sticker that asks others to post videos of their favourite movie. Users can see the original creator and everyone that added their own entries by clicking on the sticker.
Meta is expanding access to Stars, a tipping feature that allows fans to express their support for their favourite creators during Facebook videos, livestreams, and now Reels. Creators will also have access to new Reels insights via Creator Studio to discover what content is performing best.
All users can now cross-post Reels from Instagram to Facebook in seconds. This will make it easier for creators to build communities on both platforms and take advantage of monetization programs offered by both Facebook and Instagram.
Own and secure your crypto with Ledger
If you’re into cryptocurrency and own crypto assets, you need a secure place to store your coins and tokens. You probably already know that you shouldn’t store your crypto on an exchange due to potential hacks, not being solely in control of your crypto’s private keys, and for other reasons, and so a hardware wallet is the way to go and the best option to protect your private keys, therefore, you should make the move to a Ledger wallet.
Ledger wallets are an extremely secure and premium way to secure, manage, and grow your crypto assets with their Bluetooth-enabled hardware wallets, and easy-to-use app which lets you manage your portfolio on the go. They let you manage multiple assets, buy, sell, grow, and exchange crypto, gain financial freedom by you being in full control and ownership of your private keys, and so much more.
The wallets are really simple to setup, and to move your crypto over to, so there’s no reason not to secure your assets and take control of your cryptocurrency now and get yourself a Ledger device. You can manage 1800+ coins and tokens directly in the Ledger Live app once you’ve got your device up and running, so you’ll always have your entire portfolio covered.
