On Tuesday, Kraken become the latest crypto exchange to join the NFT craze after it opened the waitlist for its upcoming NFT marketplace.

In a blog post, Kraken shared that its marketplace, dubbed “Kraken NFT,” will offer zero user gas fees for all NFTs traded within the platform. However, users will be required to pay gas fees when transferring NFTs to and from Kraken.

The company also went into detail about various other features. Notably, Kraken NFT users will be able to easily track the rarity scores of their NFTs with the platform’s built in-tools, allowing them to avoid third-party websites.

Additionally, Kraken NFT will offer Creator Earnings, “a way to reward the artists and innovators driving the NFT space forward by paying them a portion of each secondary market sale price of the NFTs they created.”

Kraken’s NFT marketplace will accept payments in USD, EUR, CAD, GBP, CHF, AUD, as well as any of the 120+ cryptocurrencies currently supported by the exchange. Initially, Kraken will support NFTs on Ethereum and Solana before activating other blockchains down the road.
