Money Kingdom, an Solana NFT project based in Hong Kong, has been hit with a major security breach that let hackers steal up to $1.3 million in cryptocurrency.
ㅤㅤ
The hacker gained access to an admin account of the project’s Discord server and posted a phishing link in the announcement channel. Users who clicked the link and connected their wallets expected they would receive an NFT but instead had all their SOL tokens stolen within seconds.
Since the attack, Monkey Kingdom’s developers have put together a fund to reimburse any victims and promised to enhance security measures to avoid something similar happening in the future.
ㅤㅤ
On Tuesday NFT platform, Fractal experienced a very similar security breach. A scammer successfully scammer accessed the server's announcement bot and posted a fake mint link that promised users access to 3,333 commemorative NFTs.
