Netflix’s Arcane renewed for season 2
Heading back to Piltover
Riot Games’ League of Legends animated series Arcane has been renewed for Season 2.
⠀
Over the weekend, during the two-day Arcane Undercity Nights event, Riot Games and Netflix revealed Arcane is coming back for a second season.
⠀
Arcane made its debut earlier this month as the first-ever show to have a debut on Twitch. The show focuses on the utopian region of League of Legends realms Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun.
⠀
The final Arcane act debuted on Saturday, and it’s safe to say the show was a huge success. After its debut on Netflix, Arcane quickly soared to the number two spot on the service’s official weekly chart, with a current total of 50,290,000 hours viewed.
⠀
“We’re beyond happy about the positive response to Arcane‘s first season and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and Fortiche to deliver our second installment,” said co-creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee.
⠀
It’s too early to say when the second season will get released, but it likely won't be any time soon.
