The world’s leading NFT marketplace, OpenSea, had partnered with MoonPay to enable direct credit card payments for NFTs.

⠀

Anyone who wants to buy, sell, trade, and collect NFTs on OpenSea can now pay directly with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other methods without having to convert to specific cryptocurrencies first.

In a press release published on April 1, MoonPay CEO and co-founder Ivan Soto-Wright said: “MoonPay’s mission is to unlock ownership and onboard the world to Web3. To be successful, we have to make the process as simple as possible. MoonPay has done that for crypto. And now, in partnership with Opensea, we’re doing it for NFTs as well.”

⠀

This move will likely bring millions more people into the NFT space, especially those that feel like they aren’t ready to start trading cryptocurrency. Earlier in the week, on March 29th, MoonPay partnered with eco-friendly NFT marketplace Nifty’s to integrate its solution into the platform.

⠀

In addition to its NFT Checkout solution, MoonPay has become popular in the NFT space for buying NFTs for notable celebrities, including Madonna, Jimmy Fallon, and Post Malone, helping them avoid the hassle of going through the process themselves.
