People will be spending at least one hour a day in the metaverse in four years, predicts Gartner
The future is fast-arriving
The research firm Gartner has set out a great forecast for the future of the metaverse, predicting that a quarter of all people will be spending “at least” one hour a day in the metaverse by 2026.
ㅤ
In a press release, the firm set out that they believe people would using the metaverse for a variety of things, such as “for work, shopping, education, social (purposes), and or entertainment”, all of which activities are being invested into building strongly right now.
ㅤ
We will see one infinite metaverse universe according to the report as opposed to different platforms, with Gartner sharing that, “Eventually, they will take place in a single environment”, “with multiple destinations across technologies and experiences.”,
ㅤ
The company shared predictions of fast-growth for the corporate-end of the metaverse as well, stating that by 2026 “30% of the organizations in the world will have products and services ready for metaverse”.
ㅤ
We’re all onboard and agree with these predictions, and with the speed that the space is going already even though most people hadn’t even heard of the metaverse even just 6 months ago, we have no doubts in that it will be massively-adopted by 2026.
