Playboy launches "Rabbitars" NFT collection

The beginning of a blockchain membership

Playboy has revealed its new NFT project called “Rabbitars” a collection of unique, non-fungible rabbits inspired by Playboy’s iconic logo.

Rabbitars will launch on October 24th, with a pre-sale for whitelisted investors until October 26th. The following day two public sales will launch, one for USD customers, and the other for ETH. Each NFT will be priced at 0.1953 ETH on the projects website.

The collection will represent the historical presence of Playboy from 1953 and include 11,953 NFTs for sale. Each rabbit has its own unique traits including, background colour, fur, glasses, and props, with some rarer than others.

Rabbitars owners will get access to exclusive benefits like members-only events, merchandise, artwork, and exclusive artist collaborations. Playboy’s first NFT collection was released in collaboration with Slimesunda, and sold out in only 3 minutes, so its second collection will likely sell out just as fast.

“The Rabbitars mark the beginning of true blockchain-based membership for Playboy. Just as Playboy Club keys gave millions of members a chance to step into the sophisticated lifestyle that the Playboy brand represents, NFTs today can do the same and so much more," Vice-president of Blockchain Innovation at PLBY Group said.
