Spotify is testing out a new feature that will allow artists on its platform to promote their NFTs directly on their profiles, giving artists huge and consistent exposure to their projects with listeners that explore a said artists profile seeing the NFTs at all times.

‎

The use of this feature is currently only available to a “very small group of artists” a Spotify spokesperson said, with Steve Aoki being one of these selected artists as can be seen in the image of the trial of the feature at the top of this post.

‎

“We routinely conduct a number of tests in an effort to improve artist and fan experiences. Some of those tests end up paving the way for a broader experience and others serve only as an important learning.”, a spokesperson for Spotify said in a statement to MusicAlly.

‎

The test is currently only taking place in the United States across Android devices, and users who are apart of the test will be able to preview a select number of NFTs via an artist’s profile page and from there learn more about said NFT and choose to purchase it through an external marketplace. Spotify says it is not applying fees during the test.
