The Sandbox, a virtual world built on the Ethereum blockchain, has partnered with Cube Entertainment to spread Korean culture globally through virtual spaces and digital assets.
⠀
According to a press release, the partnership will focus on the collaboration for business expansion, which started after launching ‘Anicube’, a new joint venture behind The Sandox’s parent company, Animoca brands, and Cube Entertainment.
⠀
The Sandbox and Cube Entertainment will bring various outside companies into the metaverse and hold events to introduce users to not just K-POP but K-Culture as well. As a first step, a cultural space dubbed the” K-Culture complex” will be created in virtual land owned by Cube within The Sandbox.
⠀
"Cube is truly embracing the spirit of the open metaverse by moving one step further into The Sandbox via its K-culture hub, where it is actively curating local brands and partners of their main K-POP label and offering them a presence in The Sandbox through its own lands," said The Sandbox chief operating officer and co-founder Sebastien Borget.
⠀
“Thanks to the global K-pop wave, Korean culture known as ‘K-Culture’ itself will have a powerful influence in every sector. We are planning to introduce this K-Culture with great potential to global users in a new space called metaverse.
