Twitch launches new animals category

The most wholesome content you'll find

Twitch has launched a new outdoor category called Animals, Aquariums, and Zoos category, to bring all animal streams under one place.

Yesterday Twitch revealed that Animals, Aquariums & Zoos would be the latest category on the site. Twitch launched the category to celebrate its Animal Week, bringing all streams from zoos, conservation projects, and animal owners that before were found in the “Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches” and “Travel & Outdoors” categories, all together.

In a blog from Twitch, the company explains its decision to create the category saying, “It’s an exciting way to elevate the importance of environmental and conservation issues facing these critters of varying sizes and origin. We’re working with zoos, aquariums, and animal non-profits to elevate the animals, their conservation, and the restoration and conservation of the environment they need to thrive.”

As of writing this, you can watch Sea Otters sleep live, bees in their Observation Hive, and even feed a bunch of animals by donating Bits, such as ducks, chickens, rabbits, and a bunch of other adorable animals.
