Twitch streaming is returning to the Xbox dashboard
A simplistic way to stream right from your console
Microsoft is bringing back its previously-popular Twitch streaming integration into the Xbox dashboard. The feature was first around in the Xbox One around 2014, using the Snap interface, and now it’s coming back into the Xbox Guide interface, with a similar integration and webcam support.
Alpha and Skip-Ahead alpha Xbox testers can access the new integration already. It’s simplistic to use, and lets you adjust game volume and microphone volume at anytime, including party audio for those streams with others. You can also see how long you’ve been streaming for with this new integration, as an overlay.
This feature supports USB webcams, and also should work with plug in and play style ones. The integration lets you switch around your resolution and bitrates too, letting you go from 360p at 500kbps all the way up to 1080p at 6500kbps, all of which gives you the perfect setup to get streaming straight from your console.
