The social media company Twitter recently started testing out its new feature Twitter Circle.
⠀
Twitter Circle is a feature similar to Instagram’s Close Friends list. Users will be able to choose up to 150 people that they follow and don’t follow to be a part of their Circle to share tweets that the user may not want to share with the masses. The user will have the ability to select who sees the tweet by choosing on the Audience Menu that pops up while writing a tweet.
⠀
Twitter has said that the new feature is different from Twitter Communities. The difference between the two is that Twitter Circle is more for standard tweets to only be available for select people, whereas the tweets in Twitter Communities, everyone has access to them.
⠀
Only a few users will have access to the Twitter Circle, and they can only create one Circle. The person who creates the Circle is the only one that is able to see the list of individuals and has the ability to remove them from the Circle. Twitter Circle will be available across iOS, Android, and the web app to users who have access to the feature. There isn't a launch date for the feature to be available to everyone just yet.
