Ukraine calls upon crypto exchanges to halt Ruble support
The Ukranian government has made an official request to eight major crypto exchanges to halt support for the Russian ruble.
â
On Tuesday, Head of the virtual assets expert group Yulia Parkhomenko told Decrypt, "the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine made an official request to Coinbase, Binance, Huobi, KuCoin, Bybit, Gate.io, Whitebit, and Kuna asking to halt support for the Russian ruble, ruble spot pairs and fiat getaways, including Russian payment systems."
â
Since Russia started getting closed off to the financial world, data shows its citizens have traded a lot more crypto. Between February 20th and 28th, Bitcoin traded via ruble increased by 243% on Binance.
â
Last Sunday on Twitter, Ukraineâs Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov urgently called for crypto exchanges to freeze the accounts of Russian and Belarusian users. âItâs crucial to freeze not only the addresses linked to Russian and Belarusian politicians, but also to sabotage ordinary users,â he stated.
â
Binance quickly refused, saying it would not âunilaterally freeze millions of innocent usersâ accountsâ because âcrypto was meant to provide greater financial freedom for people across the globe.â

Start improving your self-discipline
When a lot of people hear the word self-discipline, they immediately shy away because it sounds negative, with the belief itâs something to avoid. This shouldnât be the case.
â
In reality, keeping yourself disciplined instead of constantly relying on motivation, will change your life. When you stop looking at self-discipline as a punishment, youâll realize itâs really about committing to your goals and dreams no matter what. Here are two ways to help stay disciplined.
â
Itâs normal to wake up feeling overwhelmed after realizing how many things you need to do, from small tasks to working on large, hard projects. While this doesnât apply to everyone, thereâs a good chance you'll delay the hardest task, telling yourself youâll do it at the end of the day (which we all know is a lie). To avoid this, create a to-do list every morning, starting with the most to least difficult task, and stick to it!
â
No matter how successful you are, distractions will always pop up. Itâs not as easy as it sounds to just avoid distractions, but putting your phone on Do Not Disturb mode, closing all non-important browser tabs, and reminding yourself that they are holding you back from being productive, is a good start.
Own and secure your crypto with Ledger
If youâre into cryptocurrency and own crypto assets, you need a secure place to store your coins and tokens. You probably already know that you shouldnât store your crypto on an exchange due to potential hacks, not being solely in control of your cryptoâs private keys, and for other reasons, and so a hardware wallet is the way to go and the best option to protect your private keys, therefore, you should make the move to a Ledger wallet.
â
Ledger wallets are an extremely secure and premium way to secure, manage, and grow your crypto assets with their Bluetooth-enabled hardware wallets, and easy-to-use app which lets you manage your portfolio on the go. They let you manage multiple assets, buy, sell, grow, and exchange crypto, gain financial freedom by you being in full control and ownership of your private keys, and so much more.
â
The wallets are really simple to setup, and to move your crypto over to, so thereâs no reason not to secure your assets and take control of your cryptocurrency now and get yourself a Ledger device. You can manage 1800+ coins and tokens directly in the Ledger Live app once youâve got your device up and running, so youâll always have your entire portfolio covered.
