Valve's Steam Deck delayed into 2022

Due to "material shortages"

Valve has announced it is delaying the launch of the Steam Deck, its handheld gaming console.

Originally the Steam Deck had been scheduled to launch in December, but Valve has announced that its first orders will start shipping next February.

“The launch of Steam Deck will be delayed by two months. We’re sorry about this—we did our best to work around the global supply chain issues, but due to material shortages, components aren’t reaching our manufacturing facilities in time for us to meet our initial launch dates,” Valkence said in its blog post.

Valve plans to continue to “improve reservation dates based on the new timeline” and keep customers updated with new information as soon as it is available.
