Walmart teams up with Netflix for Squid Games

The series, which has been an absolute hit, now has a collection of exclusive products

Squid Games.. everyone’s heard of it by now and if you haven’t, we don’t know what to tell you but to get on it asap! The extremely popular show has now got Netflix partnering up with Walmart to sell exclusive merchandise this fall.

Digital storefront

The new partnership brings Netflix its first digital storefront alongside a national retailer, in which the two will sell exclusive Netflix merchandise.

Said merchandise will involve products from top Netflix shows like "Squid Game," "Stranger Things," "The Witcher," and "CoComelon".

These will be available at Walmart through the launch of said digital storefront, which is called the ‘Netflix Hub’.

Leveraging Popularity

This move makes huge sense for both parties, as Netflix gets to have their products featured with a huge retailer and Walmart can tap into Netflix’s audience.

With the extremely quick rise in popularity with Squid Games, the timing to launch said digital storefront couldn’t be better, and we’re sure it’ll be a hit.

This partnership also furthers Netflix’s retail position, with the company launching in June, and now this, bringing new revenue streams for them.
