As electric vehicles grow more popular, finding the nearest charging station at times is challenging, but Waze is trying to solve that.

Waze will now show nearby EV charging stations on their driving maps. The app will also allow users to search for charging stations along their route, which would make it less stressful to locate a station to charge their electric vehicles.

The new implementation of showing EV charging sites on the Waze app is a part of the company’s initiative and partnership with Volkswagen. Jeffrey Kohl, Waze’s Head of Industry, has explained in a statement that their partnership with “Volkswagen is helping to shape what EV looks like on the Waze map and we’re looking forward to highlighting the breadth of EV stations available across the US, especially as more automotive brands move towards an electric future.” The new EV charging station display is now available for users to use.
