Former Ukrainian two-time world heavy weight champion boxer Wladimir Klitschko is set to launch an NFT collection in support of Ukraine.
⠀
Klitschko is temaing up with legendary street artist WhIsBe to launch the “Vandalz for Ukraine: WhIsBe x Wladimir Klitschko” NFT series. Metacurio, the leading NFT creative agency for A-list talent and global brands, announced yesterday that it was managing the collaboration between Klitschko and WhIsBe.
⠀
The drop scheduled for later today features four NFT editions of WhIsBe’s iconic “Vandal Gummy” bears in the colours of the Ukrainian flag, which will be available to mint in a tiered pricing model for $100, $1,000, and $10,000. All funds raised will go directly to Red Cross Ukraine and UNICE.
⠀
“It is a magnificent initiative, a support through art at the service of people who suffer,” Klitschko said in a statement. “Art can be beautiful on many levels when used to serve humanity.”
⠀
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to be of service for the greater good," noted WhIsBe. "It's incredible to be able to use my art and this emerging technology to help others in need and provide immediate relief to any location in the world."
⠀
Despite having the chance to flee, Wladimir Klitschko and his brother Vitali Klitschko, Mayor of Kyiv and former world boxing champion, are determined to stay put in Ukraine and fight on the front lines.
